{"id":94,"date":"2020-03-10T16:23:19","date_gmt":"2020-03-10T16:23:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/erplayer.pro.radio\/manual\/?post_type=knowledgebase&#038;p=94"},"modified":"2020-03-10T16:28:02","modified_gmt":"2020-03-10T16:28:02","slug":"server-type-shoutcast-v2","status":"publish","type":"knowledgebase","link":"https:\/\/erplayer.pro.radio\/manual\/knowledge-base\/radio\/server-type-shoutcast-v2\/","title":{"rendered":"Server type: Shoutcast V2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For a <strong>Shoutcast V2<\/strong> server select Shoutcast from the Server Type dropdown.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Important:<\/strong> Shoutcast V1 is not supported as is dismissed since 16 years and is highly insecure.<\/p>\n<p>Once youo choose <strong>Shoutcast<\/strong>, the proper server fields<strong> will appear.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-95\" src=\"https:\/\/erplayer.pro.radio\/manual\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Screen-Shot-2020-03-10-at-17.12.00.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"904\" height=\"627\" srcset=\"https:\/\/erplayer.pro.radio\/manual\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Screen-Shot-2020-03-10-at-17.12.00.png 904w, https:\/\/erplayer.pro.radio\/manual\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Screen-Shot-2020-03-10-at-17.12.00-300x208.png 300w, https:\/\/erplayer.pro.radio\/manual\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Screen-Shot-2020-03-10-at-17.12.00-768x533.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 904px) 100vw, 904px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>So, if your Shoutcast URL is for instance<\/p>\n<p>http:\/\/5.135.191.40:8000\/;stream\/1<\/p>\n<p>you have to set<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Host: 5.135.191.40<\/li>\n<li>Port: 8000<\/li>\n<li>Protocol: default or automatic<\/li>\n<li>Channel: by default is 1, but you can specify another number if you have a multi-channel shoutcast.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>Force HTTPS option:<\/h3>\n<p>This option is required <strong>for the providers allowing HTTPS connection on non-standard ports.<\/strong><br \/>\nUsually, the only HTTPS port is 443. But, if your Shoutcast has <strong>HTTPS on some custom port as 15550<\/strong> or <em>anything<\/em> else other than 443, and you are sure that the HTTPS connection is there, then use the &#8220;force https&#8221; setting.<\/p>\n<p>Otherwise, the player will automatically use <strong>HTTPS<\/strong> for the <strong>443<\/strong> port, and <strong>HTTP<\/strong> for any other.<\/p>\n<h3>Troubleshooting:<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>If your <strong>website<\/strong> is <strong>HTTPS<\/strong> and your stream is <strong>HTTP<\/strong>, you generally <strong>cannot<\/strong> display titles, <strong>nor listen to the music. <span style=\"color: #339966;\">In this case you may want to put the site in http or change streaming provider.<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<li>If your stream is HTTP<strong>S<\/strong>, your website is HTTP<strong>S<\/strong> and your shoutcast page is <strong>HTTP,\u00a0<\/strong>you generally cannot display titles without using a proxy. It would be much better if you use a streaming provider that gives you HTTPS access, but you can also try our proxy (enable the proxy in the channel settings)<\/li>\n<li>If the proxy doesn&#8217;t work either, please ask your website <strong>hosting<\/strong> provider (where you bought your domain and\/or hosting) to make sure that your website can connect, server side, to the port of the shoutcast channel.In the example above, the <strong>channel<\/strong> is <strong>8000<\/strong>, so you need to verify with your <strong>website server provider<\/strong> that your site can connect, server side via cUrl, using the port 8000.<\/li>\n<li>If your <strong>streaming provider<\/strong> has an <strong>HTTPS<\/strong> stream but the certificate is <strong>invalid<\/strong>, your browser will refuse the connection, for obvious security restrictions. <strong>You can verify this condition by opening the https url of your Streaming page on the browser.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>If you need help setting up your radio, <strong>please contact our helpdesk.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For a Shoutcast V2 server select Shoutcast from the Server Type dropdown.
